The next Nonprofit Executives Meeting with Leigh Tucker of Accounting Management Solutions will be held on Wednesday, May 7th from 8:30 am to 10:30 am.
This meeting will be held at the Accounting Management Solutions, Inc. office located at 800 South Street, Suite 195, Waltham, MA.
This promises to be a very interesting and informative session as we are very lucky to have as our guest speakers Brill Neumann Associates’, Ms. Elizabeth Neumann, Principal & Co-Founder and Ms. Beth Schaefer, Consultant. I have asked these individuals to focus their brief presentation and Q&A session around the myth of barriers in getting a job in the Higher Ed world at a more experienced level without prior experience (or to acknowledge the myth exists, and give suggestions on how to overcome those barriers.)
Liz has nearly 30 years experience in financial management, organizational consulting, and executive search. At Brill Neumann, she leads C level searches in areas including business, finance and administration, human resources, information technology, and development for higher education, medical, and research organizations. Earlier in her career, Liz held financial management positions at National Amusements Inc, Laventhal and Horvath, and in entertainment, real estate, and non-profit organizations. She also worked for a national executive search firm. Liz is a conflict resolution/management consultant for churches in Massachusetts and a volunteer for the South Shore Hospice. She holds a B.A. from Boston University. She currently serves on the board of the Brookfield Institute, an organization committed to cultivating and harvesting peace.
Beth has a decade of experience in conducting searches in human resources, as well as more than 20 years corporate experience in human resources. At Brill Neumann, she supports the firm’s principals and other team members by providing strategic recruitment support, research, and candidate development. Previously, Beth worked as a search consultant with another Boston-area search firm. In her corporate HR roles, she worked with a variety of companies including Harvard Medical School, Lotus Development, Excite.com, Pricewaterhouse Coopers, and Time Warner.
