The American Institute for ChildrenÕs Rights (AIFCR) is a nonpartisan 527 tax exempt political organization dedicated to fighting for childrenÕs rights in the American political sphere. Areas of focus include child abuse and neglect prevention, school safety, and mental health resources for kids.
AIFCR is currently recruiting members to serve on the Board of Directors.
In keeping with state and federal guidelines, the AIFCR is required to maintain several governors with a variety of abilities and the ability to oversee the organization.
Responsibilities:

- Know the organizationÕs mission, policies, programs, and needs

- Faithfully read and understand the organizationÕs financial statements

- Serve as active advocates and ambassadors for the organization and fully engage in identifying and securing the financial resources and partnerships necessary for the organization to advance its mission

- Leverage connections, networks, and resources to develop collective action to fully achieve the organizationÕs mission

- Donate or fundraise a meaningful personal financial donation

- Help identify personal connections that can benefit the organizationÕs fundraising and reputational standing, and can influence public policy

- Prepare for, attend, and conscientiously participate in board meetings

- Participate fully in one or more committees
