FD/MAS Alliance Treasurer
Do you want to make a difference? Would you like to expand your professional network and enhance your career? Are you interested in changing the lives of those who suffer from a rare disease? The FD/MAS Alliance Board brings together individuals with diverse backgrounds and skills essential for the governance of a successful organization. We are looking for a treasurer for our all-volunteer Board of Directors, and if you are qualified and willing to make this commitment, we'd love to talk with you!

Overview: The FD/MAS Alliance (formerly Fibrous Dysplasia Foundation) is a community-driven 501c3 nonprofit that fosters the development of evidence-based treatments for Fibrous Dysplasia and McCune-Albright syndrome (FD/MAS). We advance research, provide education and channel the voices of individuals and caregivers with FD/MAS.
Main Responsibilities of Treasurer
Review monthly financial reports with the support of the Executive Director
Ensures the board's financial responsibilities are articulated and appropriate actions are taken (e.g., approve expenditures over $5000+)
Works with the Executive Director and Budget Committee to review and present an annual budget
Reviews all tax filings required by law, with the support of the Executive Director
As directed by the board, reviews the yearly audit and answers questions about said materials posed by Directors.
Reviews financial control procedures and policies for the organization

Orientation or training
On average, 4 – 6 hours a month and, ideally, a 3-year commitment
This is an unpaid Board of Director position and is remote.
