About the position
We are building an exciting application in the B2B and B2C space focused on nonprofit and philanthropy and we are looking for a dynamic, experienced board member to join our startup as we build and scale. The ideal candidate will have a track record of successful relationships with nonprofit organizations. Must have strong partnerships within the nonprofit world and possess a deep passion for creating social impact and real, tangible value to them. We want to revolutionize the philanthropic world and are looking for somebody with the same level of ambition. The board member will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with potential partners, negotiating partnership agreements, and driving collaboration initiatives that align with our business goals.
In addition, the board member may also need to work with nonprofits on various research initiative in the nonprofit world that the company can help implement.
Key skills, responsibilities, and areas
- Work with the founder/ owner who is responsible for the strategy and product direction to develop and execute the company’s vision and growth strategy
- Develop and maintain relationships with users, partners and investors
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive growth and adoption
- Strong ambition to create a new market category
- Build strong relationships with potential partners, understand their needs, and present compelling value propositions for collaboration
- Negotiate and draft partnership agreements, ensuring mutual benefits and alignment of objectives. Monitor and evaluate partnership performance, identify areas for improvement, and recommend strategies for optimization.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging partnership opportunities.
This will initially be a volunteer/ honorary position. It goes without saying that the responsibilities outlined above are not demarcated, as is the case with any venture at our stage.
