The mission of Community Day Charter Public School (CDCPS) is to provide a kindergarten through grade eight school that will draw upon our considerable experience in working together as a community to develop and implement a curriculum that discovers and supports the special characteristics and unique learning styles of each student.
CDCPS comprises three distinct school divisions:
- Gateway
- Prospect
- R. Kingman Webster
Each division serves 400 students in grades PreK-8 at sites across Lawrence. As mandated by the state, new students are admitted through a public lottery held annually in March.
CDCPS is governed by a Board of Trustees who ensure the school is faithful to its charter, academically successful and is organizationally viable. We Are Looking For Individuals Who Have:
- A passion for our community and our mission.
- Diverse personal, educational and professional skills/experiences; finance or education experience a plus.
As a Board Member, You Will Have The Opportunity To:
- Help shape the future for children and families in our community by ensuring CDCPS fulfills its mission and charter.
- Connect with like-minded individuals who share a commitment to providing high quality education to children in our community.
- Contribute to creating a diverse, equitable and inclusive organization for children, families, employees, Board of Trustees and the larger community.
The Trustee term is 5 years.
