ABOUT US

United for Brownsville is a nonprofit organization building a neighborhood where every family flourishes. Our projects increase participation in benefits, services, and programs, and we specialize in early childhood, education, and housing-related issues. We are data-informed and trust-driven, powered by relationships with resident leaders. At a time when many families are leaving NYC, our projects close service gaps and solve urgent issues so that those living here can realize their hopes and dreams.

WHY JOIN THE BOARD

We are a small nonprofit that punches far above its weight. We are developing and repairing hundreds of housing units in a low income community, and we have increased access to benefits and services for thousands of local families. United for Brownsville has deep relationships with local families and those working in the community that have allowed us to innovate, impacting the fields of collective impact and producing authentic, measurable systems change. We are poised to grow our staff, funding, and programming to impact residents from cradle to career.
