Bill is a 25+ year global medical technology executive bringing innovative medical therapies to patients and healthcare systems worldwide. Most recently, Bill was vice president/corporate officer at Abbott’s CRM division leading commercial operations for a $2+B organization. During his 14-year career at Abbott (St. Jude Medical), he served as Division Vice President, Asia Pacific, EP/CRM, Senior Vice President, Asia Pacific, and President & CEO St. Jude Medical Japan. Bill integrated multiple acquisitions, led extensive product and market development, and wide-ranging operational experience. He previously held commercial and general management positions at Boston Scientific and STERIS (American Sterilizer).

In July 2023, Bill founded Alruna Advisors, a global investment advisory and consulting firm supporting seed stage and start-up companies across the healthcare and lifestyle markets. The firm has evaluated 140 companies across healthcare, cybersecurity, generative AI, SaaS, CPG, biotech, medical devices, and education, made 3 investments, and serves as a paid advisor.  The firm has consulted on a range of topics from organization design, go to market strategies, early stage fundraising, and the potential impact of sovereign debt and the delivery of healthcare services in western European countries.

Bill has served as CEO, boards, and advisory roles throughout his career. He is certified in NPO board management and completed the Corporate Governance executive management program at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.  During his time as CEO, St. Jude Medical Japan, he transformed the board structure, repositioned the company legal charter, and integrated the business unit into the parent company, St. Jude Medical.
