Child Life Disaster Relief. is a 501(c)(3) organization. Our mission is to empower and support children and families in crises by integrating child life professionalsÕ services into impacted communities. Through individualized direct services, community outreach, education, and research, Child Life Disaster Relief (CLDR) mitigates the effects of traumatic events on children and families. This is an open call for new Board Members who would like to bring their time and talents to ensure that children in disasters and crises have the tools and support needed to promote positive coping and resilience. We are currently recruiting for diverse leaders to join our board. We are especially looking for Board members to serve as committee chairs with expertise in the following areas: fundraising/development, marketing/communications and social media. Your role will be centered around ensuring the transparency, financial sustainability, impact and growth of CLDR. You will be asked to:
    • Give or raise a personal gift in an amount that is meaningful to you.
    • Contribute to strategic planning.
    • Provide oversight over organizational assets.
    • Serve on one or more committees of the Board and to actively participate in committee work
    • Mobilize your network for fundraising events and deployment opportunities.
    • Review annual budget, audit reports, and impact metrics.
    • Act as an ambassador of our organization.
    • Identify and recruit other Board Member and volunteers.
    • Contribute your individual talents and professional skills to our organization.
    • Advocate for CLDRÕs mission and those we serve.
Additional Information:
    • Bi-monthly board meetings (2 hours)
    • Lead and participate in committee meetings and related work (4 – 5 hours per month as determined by the committee)
