Hope Floats Foundation partners with swim schools to manage financial need-based scholarship programs, increasing access to life-saving swimming lessons. Drowning is a leading cause of death for children, but participation in formal swimming lessons can reduce this risk by up to 88% and we are on a mission to impact these numbers.
Hope Floats currently has 120 partners in 32 states, is growing, and will provide a record number of over 1,000 scholarships this year.
Hope Floats does not have a physical location, so all meetings and work are done remotely. Board meetings are held on a quarterly basis via Zoom. Our board includes multiple swim school owners as well as Olympic swimmers. Our major need is someone with financial expertise to contribute to the board in a treasurer or finance committee role.
