Responsibilities include:
– Interface with Auditors on behalf of the Board
– Provide financial oversight in the Board’s development of the LGH strategy
– Interface with Investment Advisors on behalf of the Board
– Knowledge of Quickbooks
– Maintain Financial records
– Custody of the LGH funds
– Regularly check the banking, investment and quickbook online accounts
– Supervise/Oversee the bookkeeper and assist with categorizing how data should be input into the QuickBooks system
– Authorize payment of bills
– Sign check to be mailed
– Present monthly financial statements to the Board
– Oversee LGH annual government filings
– some items include 1099’s, City of Boston 3ABC, US 990, Annual Report to the MA Attorney General
– Review all registrations to the City of Boston and MA state
– Coordinate government filings:
a. 1099’s
b. 3ABC form
c. Mass PC (public charities form)
d. 990 tax return
e. Annual Report to the MA Attorney General
f. Business Registration to the City of Boston
