One Warm Coat is a national, cloud-based 501c3 nonprofit organization that provides free
coats to children and adults in need while promoting volunteerism and environmental
sustainability. https://www.onewarmcoat.org/

Over the past 30 years, One Warm Coat has facilitated 50,000 coat drives across the
country, collecting 8 million coats that have been distributed through 1,500 nonprofit
partners across all 50 states. One Warm Coat believes in each person’s right to shelter from the
elements and is committed to sharing warmth, without discrimination, one coat at a time.

Board of Directors Information
Board Members must be legal citizens of the United States of America and may live anywhere
within the 50 states. One Warm Coat currently has nine Board Members and is seeking to add
up to three additional Members. Once elected, Board Members serve a three-year term and
are eligible for one additional term, for a maximum of six years on the Board.

Board Member Responsibilities
● Serve as a public advocate and promote awareness of One Warm Coat
● Make a minimum annual financial contribution of $1,000 to One Warm Coat
● Participate in quarterly virtual Board Meetings
● Attend an annual Board Strategic Planning Session (in-person or virtual)
● Hold a virtual coat drive each year to solicit financial donations for One Warm Coat
(Board Members are also encouraged to hold a physical drive to collect coats)
