Orange County Academy of Sciences and Arts

Orange County Academy of Science and Arts (OCASA) seeks to attract Leadership volunteers for its Board who contribute their time, talent and treasure and promote OCASA work in the community. OCASA is currently governed by a board representing a variety of professions, areas of expertise, and communities throughout the region. Examples of desired attributes:

• • A commitment in representing and promoting OCASAÕs mission of public school focused around an innovating educational model – science, tech, arts, math Ð STEAM.

• • Representing OCASA educational mission and itÕs organization goals throughout the community with Personal and Professional ethics and integrity

• • Strategic & Innovative Leaders with expertise in at least one of the following areas:
    • • Financial management, real estate, legal, fundraising, education

Specific duties of the Board include:

• • Board meetings are similar to City Council meetings- held in public every month, and public will attend and address the Board. Must attend 4-6 meetings per year.

• • Develop, approve and evaluate goals and objectives to further the organizationÕs mission

• • Ensure the financial accountability for the organization
