Pen Parentis is a national nonprofit with a diverse and mission-driven board that will be adding five new Board Members in 2025, particularly seeking out individuals who are experts in
- strategic growth
- nonprofit management
- development
- operations
- entrepreneurs or sole proprietorships
Our meetings are quarterly on Zoom and tend to be short – good Board Members keep up with Pen Parentis activities between meetings and are self-motivated. Great members join committees and are motivated to volunteer and be quite active with their expertise.
We make extra concessions to Board hopefuls who are parents, particularly any who have enjoyed executive positions on a PTA or other Volunteer Board.
We are absolutely LGBTQ+ friendly and would LOVE to add LGBTQ+ parents to our board!
We also have special preference for writers, so if you are an aspiring (or current) creative writer/poet/screenwriter/novelist/working on a memoir, tell us!
