About SNACC (Sustainable Nutrition And Community Connection):
SNACC is a NYC-based nonprofit transforming the way youth and families connect with food, health, and one another. At our core, we believe that food is more than just nourishment—it’s a powerful vehicle for education, equity, and opportunity.
We operate hands-on, culturally responsive culinary and nutrition programs across schools and community centers in underserved neighborhoods. Our work blends food education with academic enrichment, life skills development, and family engagement. Through flagship programs like Cook + Connect, students receive groceries and cook alongside professional chefs and public health educators, building confidence and real-world skills they carry into all areas of life.
SNACC has reached over 3,000 youth and families across four boroughs and continues to grow rapidly. We’re deeply rooted in community and committed to tackling systemic barriers around food insecurity, health disparities, and education inequality.
