Detailed Information

Surf For Life is a 501(c)(3) global non-profit with 15 years of experience, partnering with underserved communities to implement sustainable building projects that address local needs in education, healthcare, and economic development. We’ve built high schools, clinics, and community centers, and supported smaller projects like adding classrooms for overcrowded schools and renovating older community buildings to expand their use, creating a more sustainable and affordable way for the community to benefit from the additional space in the future.

Focusing on tourist areas where local communities are displaced by rising tourism, we sponsor projects in surf destinations but also have expanded to non-surf areas like Nepal, Cambodia, and the Sacred Valley of Peru. Over two-thirds of the cost of each trip directly funds these projects and future Surf For Life initiatives, making it a tax-deductible donation.

Our volunteer program offers a unique opportunity for corporate professionals aged 25-65 to engage with communities and contribute to meaningful, lasting change. The success of Surf For Life depends on the passion and support of our volunteers and in-country partners.

Is there an annual minimum give ($)?
To fully understand how we do our work, it is strongly recommended that board members come on a SFL trip. The cost is $2750 however the cost could be negotiable depending on the right fit.
