Veterans Legal Institute

Veterans Legal Institute (VLI) seeks to attract Leadership volunteers for its Board who contribute their time, talent and treasure and promote VLI work in the community. VLI is currently governed by a board representing a variety of professions, areas of expertise, and communities throughout the region. Examples of desired attributes:

• • A commitment in representing and promoting VLIÕs mission, core values, goals, policies and programs.

• • Representing VLIÕs mission and organizational goals throughout the community with Personal and Professional ethics and integrity

• • Strategic & Innovative Leaders with expertise in at least one of the following areas:
    • • Financial management, Legal, Fundraising, Marketing

Specific duties of the Board include:

• • Attend Board meetings every month, participate in minimum one (1) Committee meeting as requested, and attend VLI sponsored events annually

• • Develop, approve and evaluate goals and objectives to further the organizationÕs mission

• • Ensure the financial accountability for the organization
