This is the fourth session in The Boston Club’s Non Profit Board Education Series. During this session you will have the opportunity to get to find out about the great work being done by several nonprofit organizations in Massachusetts that are also looking for board members. You will get a chance to engage with CEO’s/Executive Directors of organizations or their Board Chairs or Chairs of their Governance/Nominating Committees. In turn they will get a chance to interact with the very talented and qualified Boston Club members and other attendees and utilize this avenue to recruit potential board members.

Some of the organizations participating:

Accelerated Cure Project (ACP), represented by Sara Loud, Chief Executive Officer and Linda Kanner, Board Chair.The Accelerated Cure Project (ACP) for Multiple Sclerosis is a patient-founded national non-profit organization dedicated to accelerating advances toward a cure for MS. It has a unique approach to accelerating MS research to cure MS and to enable people affected by MS to live their best lives.

Fidelity House, represented by Brad Howell, CEO/Executive Director or Lisa Staff, Chair Governance Committee. Fidelity House is a non-profit community center, which has been serving the needs of Arlington and surrounding communities for the past 65 years.

Kids in Tech, represented by Olu Ibrahim, Executive Director. Kids in Tech, based in Lowell, MA, is an organization providing after school programming that empowers kids with the technical skills they need for the career paths of the future.

Worcester Art Museum, represented by Dorothy Chen-Courtin, President, Board of Trustees. The Worcester Art Museum creates transformative programs and exhibitions, drawing on its exceptional collection of art. Dating from 3,000 BC to the present. It connects people, communities, and cultures through the experience of art.

Moderator:

Leigh J. Tucker, CPA , CLA (Clifton Larsen Associates) /NonProfit Executives Networking Group, is a Principal with CLA, the 8th largest CPA/Professional Services firm in the country. He specializes in working with nonprofit organizations that are in need of outsourcing services, interim financial management consulting and search. He is the founder of the Nonprofit Executives Networking Group and its newest program, From Bored 2 Board, matching people seeking new board roles with Organizations seeking new board talent.
